I call this story, Mr. Banner’s eyes are the windows to my soul as are the eyes of ALL animals the window to ALL OF OUR SOULS.
Here is a story that made my heart sing BIG time today. It is about a mighty spirit, named Banner the canine. He was diagnosed with nasal cancer nearly a year ago and told there was nothing that could be done for him. It is a year later and here is the latest report on my hero Banner. These are the words of his wonderful human mother who gave me permission to share with ALL of you.
The eyes of the animals are the windows to OUR SOULS. Thank you Mr. Banner for OPENING MY EYES to My SOUL. Please pay it forward.
Namaste my friends the animals,
Doc and Doc
Good morning Dr. B……..I took Banner into see Dr. John yesterday….Banner was bleeding
from his mouth…..I couldn’t decide if he had an infected tooth or a loose tooth…it appeared
that he had cut his gum, etc……Dr. A thinks it is an irritated salivary gland that has pressure and
inflammation due to the tumor. The bloody substance is sticky along with the mucous from his nose.
He is concerned that he could develop an infection of or in the gland……suggested an antibiotic….
He listened to his heart and lungs ….said everything sounded good…..it also appears that his clotting
ability is good…thank God for that….Dr. John was impressed to learn that Mr. B can and dose sleep quietly
at times….anywhere from 5 mins up to 30 mins several times per day…..when he sleeps deeply this
time will increase to 60 mins or more…..
Dr. John reminded me that Banner’s time is limited…..but he was impressed with the fact that our buddy
with all his problems is doing well…..he asked me what we were doing for him……told him along with the
peroxicam he is taking Zeolite and homeopathy remedies……..raw diet with veggies…….he smiled and said
I don’t understand Dr. Blake’s remedies but we do work together and I respect his work, etc…..
Dr. John was pleased, happy and surprised with Banner’s attitude and behavior…I must tell you the following
and hopefully this will inspire other people and help their companions…………..
Yesterday our grandson, Joseph (10) was with me…..He is a gentle soul……anyway I put Banner in the back
of the van as usual…..Joseph rode up front with me…….Because Joseph was with me Mr. B decided he needed
to be closer to Joseph and he planted himself in the back seat behind him….When we arrived at the office and
parked the car another large dog passed along side of our car …….Banner was ready to take down this dog!
He was on guard,,,,,,
Well now…when Dr. John called us into the room at the far end of the hallway…..I told Banner to come along,
good boy , come along………….Dr. John broke into a smile as Banner arched his back, held his head high and
pranced down the hallway as though he owned it! The boy was putting on the Ritz!
I know some of this attitude was because of Joseph…….and some because Banner has a strong desire to please.
Dr. John commented on his behavior…….he said he had expected to see a dog down and out and instead he saw
a very happy dog……he said “just look into his eyes”….he is one happy dog…….he repeated this several times and
he took Banner into see the other Docs…..
My heart and soul feels happy and sad at the same time……we are so connected….it is a blessing…….
The rest of the story…….Joseph sat in the back seat on the trip home and Banner was content.
When we reached home and Mr. B and Miss Chinook greeted each other they took off and ran like the wind
up and down the yard barking and body slamming each other…….Joseph was amazed because Banner
out ran Chinook on the first pass across the yard…..
After dinner I brought the large dog blanket into the family room…….Joseph sat on the blanket and without
any warning Banner body slammed him and then Banner through himself down on his back kicking his legs and
flopping while Joseph rubbed his stomach….Now you see……Banner has not done this for the past 5 months!
With all this happening…..Chinook joined the fun…..both dogs were in their play stance and doing there best to
impress us……this activity lasted 10 minuets………what a show…….these dogs have a wonderful spirit……the good Lord and his angels reside within these beautiful dogs…..
Please share this experience with others if you feel it is beneficial….
