Dr. Christian is irate about the new flu scam the drug companies have cooked up.

Dr. Christian's friend, Colin Espiner, said it best in the following on stuff.co.nz today. Swine flu? Oh for goodness' sake. What a load of hogwash. Which I guess is the point. The breathless reporting of this "outbreak'' of "international concern'' that has "shut down Mexico City'' and "could lead to the closure of Auckland International Airport'' is occurring because of an absence of any real news.

How many times are we going to cry wolf over these things? Remember bird flu? The rush to stock up on Tamiflu? Geez, didn't the Swiss drug maker Roche do well out of that one.  Sars anyone? The Millennium Bug? Let's face it, we love a good crisis and the media enjoys it more than anyone. Scaring the pants off the public is great fun, and sells newspapers.

So let's just get this latest crisis straight. "Up to'' 80 people have died inMexico from a variant of Influenza A, which is being dubbed swine flu. A bunch of Americans and Canadians are thought to have caught it, though none of them has died or is even very sick.

Ten Kiwi kids apparently have the "deadly new swine flu'' after a school trip to Mexico recently. So far they're all okay, too.  Now, I'm not suggesting for a minute that influenza isn't a nasty virus. Or that health authorities shouldn't take precautions until we know more about it.

But let's have some perspective, shall we? Every year, the flu kills an estimated 500,000 people around the world. There are up to five million cases. People die and are hospitalized right here and in New Zealand from the flu every year as well.

Rolling out special news bulletins like TV 3 did last night should be reserved for genuinely grave news - not some worldwide media beat-up.  Praise so far to our Health Minister Tony Ryall, who has adopted a low-key approach and resisted the temptation to press the panic button and start issuing Tamiflu and dust masks.

Mind you, a good health scare could be just what the doctor ordered for the Government. It takes our minds off the start of winter, the state of the economy, job losses, and the fact that the Government doesn't actually seem to be doing very much at the moment.

Of course, the real problem is that, should a genuine health emergency ever arise, we'll all be so sick of the false alarms we'll probably ignore it.

Is that a pig flying past my window?

This is just another scare tactic to get people's fear meter to bounce off the scale so the Pharmaceutical cartel can make more money for themselves on the backs of hard-working people.

Take your colostrum, use aromatherapy (Thieves blend), and a dose of oscillococcinum. These will help your immune system be at its best and the good news is, it will not kill you like the junk drug companies, when they try to sell you IE vaccines and antibiotics which have no effect against viruses in the first place. :O)

Dr. Blake at Macchu Picchu

When I was in Peru in May of 2007, I had the good fortune of sharing time with 5 different Shamans. During my meditations and travels with the Shamans, I had the opportunity to learn many things about the Incas and the prophecy they left us all.

The beauty and wonders of the Andes are beyond words. I found myself transformed in time and space as I walked on ancient Inca trails, passing through the many temples and ruins on my journey. I found myself filled with joy, love and contentment with each step I took upon the ancient stones where I had the honor to walk. 

I felt the energy of Mother Earth come up through the soles of my feet and lift me from the earth. As I started down the path from the Gate of the Sun at Machu Picchu, I was suddenly energized by these ancient stones and was compelled to run as fast as I could down this ancient trail.

Even though I was at 9000 feet elevation, my lungs were super oxygenated and I felt as though I could fly. As I ran down through the mist that enveloped me, I had visions of a time when the Incas graced this land. As I accelerated down the path, sheer drop-offs to my right, damp stones to run upon, I noticed a difference in the placement and color of the stones beneath my feet.

It was at that moment I realized the Incas had placed these stones so runners could run at their maximum speed and have sure footing as they sprinted over this ancient path of stone. I passed llamas and people of all nationalities as I sprinted down this magical path. In the end I reached the city of Machu Picchu and felt my heart smile.

When I shared this discovery with my guide Santiago, he told me he had never had a visitor to his land make this discovery. He then told me he felt the mountain had spoken to me and shared its secret. Only the locals knew of this and he felt I had been blessed by the Great Spirit because I showed respect for the land and animals. I was so honored by his words, I picked him up and gave him a big hug and told him I would return.

This ancient ruin helped open my heart and show me that anything is possible, as long as you believe it is. I spent the entire day upon the mountain and can tell you all that my life was changed from being allowed to be in this magical place.

When I asked each Shaman, "What do you feel is in store for the world?" they all had the same response. "It is the best time in the history of the world! What you hear on the news is not what is important. What is important is that the consciousness of the entire planet is shifting toward Faith, Love, Forgiveness, Tolerance and Peace."

Stay focused on these five words and by 2012, there will be an awakening never seen in the history of the world. These words gave me great hope, which I want to share with you all. It reminded me of a quote of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

"The moment you decide that what you know is more important than what you have been taught to believe, you will have shifted gears in your quest for abundance. Success comes from within, not from without."

    My dear Bovine friends from down under told me I needed to share my story about The Forgotten Miracle they provide for all the beings of this wonderful planet. 

    Ten years ago, in January of 1997, I became seriously ill and nearly died. For the next two years, I struggled to regain my health.  Medical Doctors, the best classical homeopath and the best Oriental Medical Doctor in San Diego and many others attended to me over that two-year period. I made very little progress and was very depressed because of the lack of progress in my healing; even with the help of all the healers who tried to help me.

        Two weeks later, I came down with the worst flu I had ever had in my life. The results were astonishing. I recovered faster than I had ever done in my life and recovered completely within 48 hours.  I was very pleased with my clinical response but that was nothing compared to what followed.

It only lasted a few seconds the first day but as the days, weeks and months past, I began to feel better and better.       In the previous article, I spoke of how well I did in the Andes even though I was 60 years old at the time and did no form of physical conditioning before entering the Andes. One of the things I did was make sure I took my colostrum daily and paced myself by paying attention to my breathing :O) the entire time I was at high altitude, IE 8 to 12, 000 feet above sea level.
