Why is Dr. Blake flying so high?
As you can see, Dr. Blake made it back to Earth after flying with his pilot 6,000 feet over
Kauai, trusting that this ultra-light would return him gently, keeping him safe and sound.
This is what faith is all about, and it applies to all aspects of our lives.
He has always told his clients that, without dreams there is no hope. No matter what we are faced with each
day in our lives, we must be grateful for all the challenges, good and bad, that help us to grow through life.
It is always much easier to go along with the majority, even if they are in error. This was the case with the masses

Dr. Christian Blake's tip of the month.
After many months of being on sabbatical, Dr. Christian has returned to the web to share some of his deeper
thoughts on natural care for animals and people. He recently came across some very important information on the microchips
used in dogs and cats. He was so upset by what he found out about this subject that he felt it was his duty to come forward
and set the record straight before it is too late for many precious animals.
Facts about Microchips in animals.
Melvin T. Massey, DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from Brownsboro, Texas, brought this to the attention of the American Horse Council
when he wrote, "I am a retired Equine Veterinarian and still breed a few horses. Because of migration-infection-increased risk of sarcoids
I will not want to have microchips in my horses."
The Institute of Experimental Pathology at Hannover Medical School in Germany reported, "An experiment using 4279 CBA/J mice of two generations
was carried out to investigate the influence of parental preconceptual exposure to X-ray radiation or to chemical carcinogens. Microchips were
implanted subcutaneously in the dorsolateral back for unique identification of each animal. The animals were kept for life span under standard
laboratory conditions. In 36 mice a circumscribed neoplasm occurred in the area of the implanted microchip. Macroscopically, firm, pale white
nodules up to 25 mm in diameter with the microchip in its center were found. Macroscopically, soft tissue tumors such as fibrosarcoma and
malignant fibrous histiocytoma were detected."
Ecole Nationale Veterinaire of Unite d'Anatomie Pathologique in Nantes, France, reported, "Fifty-two subcutaneous tumors associated with microchip were collected
from three carcinigenicity B6C3F1 mice studies. Two of these 52 tumors were adenocarcinoma of the mammary gland located on the dorsal region forming around the chip.
All the other 50 were mesenchymal in origin and were difficult to classify on morphological grounds with haematoxylin- eosin."
Marta Vascellari of Instituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie at Viale dell'Universita in Legnaro, Italy reported examining a 9-year-old male
French Bulldog for a subcutaneous mass located at the site of a microchip implant. "The mass was confirmed as a high-grade infiltrative fibrosarcoma,
with multi focal necrosis and peripheral lymphoid aggregates."
Even the limited research available clearly indicates that implantation of microchips within an animal is gambling with the animal's well being.

Drs. Christian and Stephen Blake recommend you not panic and try to have the chip removed. This would be very difficult to do, because of how small these chips are and the fact
that they migrate. They both recommend you palpate the area from around the neck and shoulders down to the forearms weekly. If you find a swelling in these areas, go to your
veterinarian and have your animal checked out. If they find the chip is in the swelling area, they recommend immediate removal and biopsy.
Chips fail 30% of the time; there are five different manufacturers of these microchips and they are not universally scanned by the same device. If your pet ends up at a location
where they do not have the matching scanner for the chip in your pet, it will come up negative.

Toxic mold is a problem in hundreds of thousands of homes across the country.

Aspartame is sold as NutraSweet, Equal and Spoonful, and is in thousands of foods and soft drinks such as Diet Coke.
It is a potential cause of brain tumors and seizures, to mention only two of the many symptoms caused by this insidious chemical.

METHANOL (AKA WOOD ALCOHOL/POISON) (10% OF ASPARTAME) Methanol/wood alcohol is a deadly poison. People may recall that methanol was the poison that has caused some "skid row" alcoholics to end up blind or dead.
Methanol is gradually released in the small intestine when the methyl group of aspartame encounter the enzyme chymotrypsin.
The absorption of methanol into the body is sped up considerably when free methanol is ingested. Free methanol is created from aspartame when it is heated to above 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Centigrade).
This would occur when an aspartame-containing product is improperly stored or when it is heated (e.g., as part of a "food" product such as Jello).
Methanol breaks down into formic acid and formaldehyde in the body. Formaldehyde is a deadly neurotoxin. An EPA assessment of methanol states that methanol "is considered a cumulative poison due to the low rate of
excretion once it is absorbed. In the body, methanol is oxidized to formaldehyde and formic acid; both of these metabolites are toxic." The EPA recommends that one limits methanol consumption to 7.8 mg/day.
A one-liter (approx. 1 quart) aspartame-sweetened beverage contains about 56 mg of methanol. Heavy users of aspartame-containing products consume as much as 250 mg of methanol daily or 32 times the EPA-recommended limit.
Aspartame accounted for more than 75% of all adverse reactions reported to the FDA's Adverse Reaction Monitoring System (ARMS). By the FDA's own admission, fewer then ONE PERCENT of those who have problems with something they consume
ever report it to the FDA. This balloons the almost 10,000 complaints they once had to around a million. However, the FDA has a record-keeping problem (they never did respond to the certified letter from the WEBMASTER of this site... a major victim!)
and they tend to discourage or even misdirect complaints, at least on aspartame. The fact remains, though, that MOST victims don't have a clue that aspartame may be the cause of their many problems!
Many reactions to aspartame were very serious, including seizures and death.

What is Dr. Christian telling Dr Blake about how to get alternative medicine taught in our Veterinary Schools?
First of all, the balance of power is always based on Economics 101's Supply and Demand theory. NO DEMAND, NO VACCINES and DRUGS. MORE DEMAND, MORE VACCINES and DRUGS .
It is a very simple principle. We need to get the pet caregivers of the world to say NO to over-vaccination and drugs and the veterinary community will have to listen.
Repeat it to yourself, ‘supply and demand….. …if I don’t demand it, then eventually they will stop supplying it.’
How do we do that? For many years I have believed that our only recourse is through the media. Now, who has more passion about causes with her steam and fire behind her than Oprah Winfrey?
Here we have an educated woman who is willing to fight the fight for her beliefs. We all know she loves her dogs since she has publicly stated as much. We need to band together and stir up
her fire about holistic health care not only for her animals, but for all animals. I, as a holistic veterinarian, would be willing to appear on OPRAH and stir up her passion for holistic care

How does this help our cause? When all her listeners start calling their veterinarians and asking for alternative veterinary care, they will be told they do not have the services they are requesting.
The veterinarian will search and find there are no alternative veterinarians coming out of veterinary schools anywhere in the United States.
This in turn will put pressure on the Veterinary Schools to provide training in these areas so the demand will be met. Remember, it is supply and demand that keeps the world turning.

Dangers of topical flea and tick products.
Dear Dr. Blake,
I recently came to see you for a more “holistic” and “natural” approach for treating my pets medical conditions.
During that first meeting I shared with you the recent experience that I had that led me to do some research related
to the ingredients and side effects of the flea/tick control that we use on our pets. I have attached the information to this e-mail.
Please feel free to include it in your news letter so that we can inform as many pet owners as possible. Everyone needs to know
that these companies are killing our pets and possibly us, their owners.
The reason for my research started when a very good friend of mine, Dan, went into liver failure acutely.
His liver biopsy showed an inflammatory response due to an unknown chemical and/or medication.
His wife and I were brain storming trying to identify anything that he had been newly exposed to.
The only thing that could be identified was that Dan had recently applied “Frontline Plus” to both of his dogs for flea/tick control.
FYI, I had to quit using Frontline on one of my dogs about 6 months ago because it was causing her severe lethargy and vomiting right
after I applied the liquid flea control to her back. Thus, my research began.
The attachment gives you the ingredients to a few popular flea/tick control topicals. Use the table to identify the specific ingredient
that is used in a given brand, i.e. Frontline, Advantage, etc. and look at the side effects that are listed.
Funny thing is that none of these side effects are listed on the packaging for Frontline Plus.
I don’t have access to the other brands packaging so I cannot comment on their warning label.
Also I find it interesting that many of the brands don’t tell you what the “inert” ingredients are.
Frontline does list its “inert” ingredients and their side effects include birth defects, cancer producing, neuro toxic and damage to organs.
No wonder some of these other brands don’t list the inert ingredients. After having completed my research I have decided that I will never use any type of chemical
flea/tick control on my pets. Because of the information that I obtained from your web site I will use a “natural” approach to flea control in the future.

I have never recommended any of these products due to the dangers of using neurotoxic chemicals on animals. My concern is that these chemicals cause acute and chronic disease to my friends the animals.
My other concern is that the caregivers and their children are being exposed to these chemicals by touching and hugging them 24/7. There are no safety studies on the long term effect of any of these chemicals on children.
Any product that tells you to ware gloves, do not get it on your skin and then put on your pet once a month should be warning enough that it is dangerous to be around.
These chemicals can causing seizures, liver,kidney, thyroid, spleen and adrenal disease weakness of muscles, labored breathing, incoordination, increased miscarriages, birth defects, heart and brain disease as well.
There are no studies on long term use or the levels of these chemicals in the body. My advise is to make sure your pets do not have this on them and if they do, wash it off immediately and never use it again.
Make sure your children's doctors are aware of their exposure to these chemicals if they are having any acute or chronic conditions that relate to these chemicals. Please pay this forward and save a life.
