What are you going to do with the time you are given, NOW?

As you all know Charene and I have been through a real firestorm these past 6 weeks and only now are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. There are many people just like us who are struggling to get their lives back to something remotely similar to what they had before the fire.

We have been blessed with all of our family and all our friends around the world who have been helping us through this difficult time. We both want to thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts for all of the love you have shown to us.

Now to the good old Dr. Blake information section for paying it forward. First of all I would like to address the words, "What are you going to do with the time you are given, NOW?" I heard these in a movie recently and it was such a powerful statement, it consumed me for the remainder of the movie.

So, what is such a big deal about these words, and why did it make such an impression on me? First of all I have always felt that time is a precious commodity, that we often take for granted. My Mom would always say, " The only thing of value you have to give in this life, is your time, so give it wisely!" It is with these words that I have tried to live my life each day.

Each of us wakes each morning and begins our day in a special way. This special way deserves the utmost thanksgiving with the first breath of the day. Until I lost my special way 6 weeks ago to the fire, I did not realize how important it was to me. Like all things, until you lose them, you do not realize how valuable they are until they are taken from you.
By this time I am sure you are wondering what this has to do with anything. Bare with me and it will all come clear to you and you will see how it can help you and your animals.
Since time is the most precious commodity we have to give in our lives, it is each and every one of our responsibilities to take the time we are given each day and use it wisely for helping others and ourselves.

The riddle goes like this, What time is it and where are you? The answers....The time is NOW and where are you? HERE. Once you feel these in your heart, then you can begin to use the time given you wisely, NOW.

What I have discovered from the fire and these words, is that I need to stay focused on what I personally want to do with this time I am given each day. I discovered that I have to make a concerted effort each day to manage my time in a way that takes care of others and myself. How do you do that?

You do it by being in the moment and accounting for your time by enjoying the process of using every increment of time through out your day. I find that by paying attention to my breath allows me a means of staying in touch with this process.

When you find yourself in travel mode, stop yourself and slow down your thoughts and physical activity by 10% or more and you will find yourself back in the moment or in the NOW. By doing this you will also find out where you are, which is HERE. By doing these two simple thought processes, you will be able to enjoy the time you are given and be in the present at all times.

By doing this over and over, you will be able to find the quiet place within each and every one of us that we call contentment. It is a beautiful place that all of you are able to enjoy but we have to work at it each and every day so that we can find it and not loose it.

How many people die from Doctore errors?

This article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) is the best article I have ever seen written in the published literature documenting the tragedy of the traditional medical paradigm . To learn more about what our medical system is doing to the American people go to  Doctors Are The Third Leading Cause of Death 7/30/00   and to learn more about what you can do to have your voice heard.

What is the truth about flu vaccines?

The $250,000 plus advertising campaign is in full swing to get people scared enough to vaccinate anything that moves. One death and we have a plague according to the news media. 15,000 people in the USA die of aspirin toxicity; 35,000 die of the flu; 250,000+ die from prescibed medical proceedures and medications but we put all our resourses into vaccines.

Not only is this a terrible waste but it is a dangerous practice that will some day fall by the way just like bleeding did. In the mean time read this link and pay it forward before more people die from another unneeded vaccine  Flu Vaccine Encouraged for Kids 6 to 23 Months 3/6/02

CT Scans kill 1500 children per year in the USA!

The increase use of full body cat scans has resulted in many unnecessary deaths in children. Each year, about 1.6 million children in the USA get CT scans to the head and abdomen - and about 1,500 of those will die later in life of radiation-induced cancer . To learn more about this sad statistic, go to

What happens when you do not pay attention to your health?

With all this said, guess what happened to the good doctor Blake? Since he didn't follow thebasic rules of taking care of himself, he came down with the worst flu he has ever had. Why did this happen with all that he had already been through? The answer is,  he didn't follow the above rules and did not take care of himself, so the virus decided to slow him down the hard way.

In bed for 4 days with a fever, sweating through his sheets with no appetite for 4 days, coughing until every rib and joint in his body felt like a rubber hose, had done a number on him. This is a perfect example of not paying attention to your body and running yourself down to the point where your immune system is unable to protect you and your body wants a rest from the stresses of life.

As with all things there is good in every thing if you look hard enough. From this flu, I was reminded once again we are not super human and we need to slow down or we will burn up (excuse this pun considering all that has happened ;O). I also got a chance to learn how to treat this bad boy and I want to share that with you all so that hopefully you can all avoid what I just went through.

What I found helped me the most was; upping my colostrum to 4800 mg per day; lots of liquids; fasting; Thieves throat lozenges one tablet four times per day (Young living essential product www.thepetwhisperer.com ); frankincense and Eucalyptus essential oils on my feet and face; Dolisos Gemmotherapy Lithy tree (lungs), Rowan tree (congestion of ears, nose and throat), Hedge Maple (antiviral) and Mountain pine (back pain) 5 drops each four times per day; Dolisos Oligotherapy MnCu and CuAuAg one tablet twice per day and Berry Young Juice one ounce per day (essential oil on my site). By doing this and resting I as able to get through it in one week instead of 3 to 4 weeks like so many people.

The other discovery I made during this time is that it is OK to ask for help and letting people help you when you are in a sad place. It also feels good to talk to people about your pain and sadness, instead of being MACHO and holding it in. Big boys don't cry! That is for the birds! Be sad and let it out so others can help you. I was amazed at how much better I felt when I told people about my Mom passing this past June and then the fire taking our home. The hugs, tears and love that came from this disaster has made us appreciate our lives more than ever.

My dream each day, is that every one in the world will wake today, and the first thing on their mind will be, "Who can I help today?" What a world it would be if paying it forward could get this going around the world :O)

"Miracles happen each and every day, all we have to do is get out of their way. If we did this each and every day, more would surely come our way!" Make today a great day and please pay it forward to at least three more people.

Have a great holiday and share your smile with every one you meet while you are practicing being in the NOW and HERE. Thank you for listening and caring.

OAO,
Dr Blake
